The short version
You can read all of PricedNews without an account. We don't run ads, and we don't sell data about you. We use Google Analytics to count visits, which sets a small number of cookies.
What gets recorded
The site runs on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare handles each request, which includes your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for. We keep short-lived request logs to fix errors and stop abuse. We don't use them to profile readers.
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages people read and how they found us. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga) and records things like the pages you view, roughly where you are (country or city, from a shortened IP address), your device and browser, and the site that sent you. We see this in aggregate. Advertising features are switched off: the data isn't used for ad targeting or personalised ads. Google processes it under its privacy policy, and you can opt out with Google's opt-out add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Other sites
Headlines, prices and sources link to other websites, such as news publishers and prediction-market venues. Once you click through, their privacy policies apply. Our posts on X and Telegram are subject to those platforms' policies.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply and to fix whatever you reported.
Children
PricedNews is a news site for adults and isn't aimed at children.
